First, we would like to thank Lang Team for inviting Team Novo Nordisk to the Tour de Pologne. This race carries enormous prestige, and we are eager to continue showing the team’s jersey and sharing our mission to inspire, educate and empower everyone affected by diabetes.

This will be Team Novo Nordisk’s only race in Poland where more than two million people live with diabetes[1]. With the global reach of this race, we are able to show the value of exercise not only to Poland but to the entire world.

It is an honor to receive a wildcard invitation to the Tour de Pologne. We took a year off from this incredible race so we could continue investing in the development of our athletes and we are motivated to return for our third Tour de Pologne. We will come with an aggressive squad focused on earning results.

Team Novo Nordisk General Manager Vassili Davidenko:

It is an honor to receive a wildcard invitation to the Tour de Pologne. We took a year off from this incredible race so we could continue investing in the development of our athletes and we are motivated to return for our third Tour de Pologne.

The 2019 season has seen us race at multiple World Tour races including the UAE Tour and Milan-San Remo and we have the Tour of California next month. We have raced aggressively and been very active throughout the season. At the UAE Tour, Charles Planet wore the race’s Intermediate Sprint jersey for four consecutive days and at Milan-San Remo, we placed four riders in the main breakaway, which brought tremendous global attention to the team’s mission.

For the Tour de Pologne, we are eager to see how our riders perform at a race which features mountains, fast sprints and plenty of breakaway opportunities. We will come with an aggressive squad focused on earning results.

The Tour de Pologne kicks off on Saturday August 3rd.
