Team Novo Nordisk Congratulates Colnago on Tour de France Win
ATLANTA, Ga. (September 22, 2020) – Team Novo Nordisk, the world’s first all-diabetes professional cycling team, is pleased to congratulate its bike partner Colnago for winning the 2020 Tour de France with the UAE Team Emirates. This is the first Tour de France win for Slovenian Tadej Pogačar.
“Colnago is a bike built by a hero designed for champions. What an amazing time trial and win by Pogačar,” said Team Novo Nordisk General Manager Vassili Davidenko. “Colnago has been a long-time supporter of Team Novo Nordisk, and we couldn’t be any prouder to race on these bikes. Congratulations Ernesto, congratulations Pogačar, congratulations UAE Team Emirates!”
Team Novo Nordisk first raced on Colnago bikes in 2013, its first professional season, and has continuously raced on the iconic Italian brand since 2016. For the 2020 season, Team Novo Nordisk’s men’s professional team is racing on Colnago’s C64, Concept, V2r and V3r bikes on the road and the K-Zero during time trials.
“A massive congratulations to Ernesto and the entire Colnago family. His bikes have won nearly every race and to finally have a bike bearing Colnago's name ridden into Paris by the yellow jersey must bring a huge moment of joy and validation,” said Phil Southerland, Co-Founder and CEO of Team Novo Nordisk. “We’ve always valued Colnago’s abilities to push the boundaries of aerodynamics to make the stiffest and lightest frame available. It was a win that will be talked about for years. We all will take even more pride in riding Ernesto’s amazing machine. Congrats to all!”
